GEEKAY RETARDER APPLICATION & FEATURES GEEKAY RETARDERis a modified lignin based admixture for effecting controlled retardation in setting of concrete as well as a reduction in water demand. GEEKAY RETARDER increases the setting time of concrete and mortar as well as increases its ultimate compressive strength by reducing water content in the mix, to a certain extent COMPOSITION &CONDITIONS The degree of retardation depends on the amount of GEEKAY RETARDER added to the mix. Usually a dosage of 0.4% by weight of cement will be suitable, but in higher temperature or where long retardation is required, it may have to be increased depending on the desired parameters of fresh concrete. Larger doses might result in proportionately increased setting time and workability.
