HIGH END SUPER PLASTICIZERS APPLICATION & FEATURES GEEKAY PLAST XR-D40 is an acrylic polymer based new generation high range water reducing admixture. Normal super plasticizer work by separating the cement particles using electrostatic dispersion. As the repulsive forces get weaker with time, cement tends to agglomerate resulting in slump loss. When GEEKAY PLAST XR-D40 , which is an acrylic polymer, is used, cement particles are dispersed more efficiently by the adsorption of the polyglycol chains together with the stearic hindrance effects of the carboxyl group. This dual action prevents early slump loss. COMPOSITION &CONDITIONS GEEKAY PLAST XR-D40 is available as a ready to use liquid, which is dispensed into the concrete along with mixing water. It is desirable to add the admixture after about 50% of the mixing water is added into the mixture. Suitable mixture proportioning procedures need to be adhered to in order to obtain the optimal admixture efficiency.
