TILE ADHESIVES APPLICATION & FEATURES GEEKAY BOND 280 is the ideal bonding material for fixing ceramic wall and floor tiles, as well as marble and stone claddings of small and medium size applications. This is supplied in powder form just like cement, but GEEKAY BOND 280 possesses many advantages over the conventional cement and sand mortar.. COMPOSITION &CONDITIONS Clean the surface thoroughly with water. Remove dust, Grease, Oil, paint etc. Add one part water to 2½ parts of GEEKAY BOND 280 powder by volume. Mix to form a thick paste. Add little more water if necessary, to obtain a workable mix. Leave the GEEKAY BOND 280 mortar for 5 to 10 minutes for the polymers to get mature, remix the same before using. Apply the GEEKAY BOND 280 mortar on the working area (wall or floor) to an average thickness of 3mm Fix dry tiles by pressing into place beginning at the bottom in the case of walls, and at the centre marking, in the case of floor and swimming pool. Clean the surface with a wet cloth or sponge Allow 24 hours to set before grouting the joints.
